With our hard-working team of employees, and a reliable network of subcontractors with whom we work, Quarrico has the capacity to increase our production levels to accommodate virtually any orders required by our customers. We demonstrated this recently when a large mining company needed us to deliver 60,000 tonnes of road base within three weeks, with delivery to start immediately. By drawing on the material stockpiled on the ground, increasing our production levels and by dramatically increasing the number of trucks we had on the go, we were able to meet that customer’s delivery deadline, whilst also fulfilling our commitments to our other customers. Although we do prefer to have longer lead-in times for such large volumes of product, we are able to increase our capacity levels when required.
We prefer to supply to large-scale, long-term projects, however we do have the capacity to also take on short-term jobs with large or small requirements.
Our major area of operation is within a 100km radius of Moranbah, which incorporates numerous mine sites, including Moranbah North, Daunia, Goonyella Riverside, Peak Downs, Saraji, Grosvenor Mine, Caval Ridge, Millennium Mine, Broadmeadow. We have also recently supplied over 100,000 tonnes of road base, all complying to the customers’ specifications, for a major highway reconstruction project that was recently undertaken.
At Quarrico Products Pty Ltd, the safety and welfare of our employees is of paramount importance. It is our belief that all industrial injuries can be prevented. With this in mind, we ensure that risk assessments are carried out to identify and minimise safety hazards in order to prevent accidents from happening.
Each employee is responsible for working safely, not only for their own interests but also that of their fellow workers. Whilst all areas of our business are closely monitored by our OH&S officer, our employees understand that safety starts with them and is a crucial part of all our operations.
Quarrico is committed to achieving 100% compliance with the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act & Regulations and we continually align our work practices with the requirements and recommendations of the relevant Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.
We have developed a Safety and Health Management system that applies across all our sites, and is monitored by our OH&S officer. Through ongoing training and assessment we ensure our employees:

Our safety systems are weaved extensively through every level of the business, to ensure a high level of safety performance is consistently achieved. These include:
Quarrico is committed to undertaking all activities in an environmentally responsible manner and we manage all risks that may lead to a potential environmental impact. All reasonably practical measures are taken to ensure continuous improvement in our environmental performance, with intimate consideration of factors evaluated in each aspect of the production process to minimise, if not eliminate, any latent environmental influence.
Our Environmental Management Policy is monitored by our Occupational Health and Safety Officer, Peta Jowsey, and audited by government authorities including the Mines Inspectorate.
